Before Your Surgery

In general, patients should not eat or drink after the specified time prior to surgery, with the exception of approved pre-surgical hydration instructions. If you take prescription medications, follow your physician’s guidance regarding what to take the morning of surgery.
If there are any changes to your medications before surgery, please contact the pre-admission testing team for further guidance.
Day of Surgery Reminders
Bring a list of your current medications with you. Patients with diabetes should check their blood sugar prior to arrival and follow any specific instructions provided by their care team.
